In the midst of electronic music and western culture, the Indian music has taken a back-step with so much of programming evolved. Hindustani music is a gem, everyone respects it but no one one to touch it these days to enlighten or support it. ‘Bombay Bandook’ is trying to revive the Indian flavour with its original called ‘GINTI’ , based on the Carnatic raaga ‘Charukeshi’. Would love your support to keep doing this, because we know how hard it is being new in the scene and taking a risk with your first ever venture. Regards.
This is beautiful soul stirring music. Great work. Please tell us more about yourself and your group. And what made you guys come up with GINTI?
We really appreciate the kind words. ‘Bombay Bandook’ is a semi-classical fusion rock band which has its roots in Hindustani music, fusing it with modern jazz and rock elements to make it more palatable!
If you check the current music scene, you’ll see variety of flavours but this one left untouched. We as a band, took the responsibility to revive the culture with whatever we could do being new in the industry. GINTI took us five months but when we see such support,we’re determined to work harder for our next which will be out soon.
Like the song says,
“Sapno ki taadat ginte ginte ginti rooth gayi,
gin gin kar saari ginti chooth gayi”
lots of love.
