Is this equality or patriarchy?

We need to remember men always have had a dress code for discotheques and pubs. From wearing full pants to shoes. So would you call this move for equality or one done by patriarchy?

I think the argument that it is a move for equality can be easily debunked because it is the state administration that is doing this. Not the private clubs themselves who set the rules for men. So it is clearly a case of patriarchy on the part of the state or city administration who have never set similar rules for men. And look at the words used to justify the ban - they are citing ‘scantily dressed women’ as ‘indecency’. Indecency, in my opinion, is in the eye of the beholder looking at it that way in this age.
